Born and raised in Las Cruces, NM, I have a deep love and appreciation for our vibrant community and our iconic green chile. Growing up here, I've seen firsthand how our Western heritage has slowly faded into modern obscurity. As someone who values the traditions of hunting, shooting sports, and self-defense, I became increasingly frustrated with the rising costs and limited access to affordable sporting and defense options.
The tipping point came when I witnessed the skyrocketing price of ammunition – $1 per round for 9mm – a crisis that left many local shooters, hunters, and gun owners struggling. That's when I decided to take action.
In response, I founded Shongo's House of BOOM, a locally-owned business dedicated to providing affordable, high-quality ammunition, shooting supplies, and defense options to our community. My mission is simple: to offer practical solutions for sports shooters, hunters, and anyone who values their right to protect themselves, all while supporting the unique culture and heritage of Las Cruces.
